SOCALPAPA artists are invited to join the fun at the annual Open Garden Day garden tour and festival in the picturesque neighborhoods of West Floral and Fisher Parks (Santa Ana) on May 9, 2026. Participating artists will be assigned a garden to paint en plein air during the tour and given the opportunity to meet the nearly 1000 visitors who attend this event. Participants will have the option of a morning shift (8:30am to 12:30pm) or afternoon (12:00pm to 4pm).This is an opportunity to pass out your business cards, share your love for painting outdoors, and even sell your work right off your easel!
Participating artists will be featured in online advertising for this event. On the following Saturday, May 16, a display show and sale will be hosted by Art Supply Warehouse in their Catalyst studio. All work hanging in the show will need to be framed and wired, ready to hang. More details to follow.
Open Garden Day is an annual neighborhood garden tour and festival with additional elements including food, live music, craft fair, and free educational events. A trolley will be provided for guests. Parking will be available for painters near their assigned garden and restrooms will be within walking distance.
Registration is $15 and is open until April 17th (No refunds). Please be prepared to include a short bio and photo. Additional information (including the address of your assigned garden) will be emailed after registration is complete.
Location: West Floral and Fisher Parks in North Santa Ana. Specific addresses for homes on the tour will be given after registration is closed.
