Newport Back Bay, from Shellmaker Road. Going to Newport Beach, take Jamboree south from the 405 Fwy or 73 Fwy almost all the way before you get to PCH—go R on Back Bay Drive 1/4 mile and go left at Shellmaker Rd. There are about 4 spaces here, so you may have to use turnouts farther along Back Bay Drive. Views of the cliffs and marsh and occasional birdlife. Restrooms N on the Drive past San Joaquin Road at the Big Canyon Parking lot.
