Friday, October 2, 9:00am. Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange. Take the 55 Fwy N and exit Katella, which becomes Santiago Oak Canyon Drive. Go about a couple miles to Windes, go left and go past the jog about a mile to the entrance. Pay $3 fee and park in the main lot or the gravel alternate lot. Paint across the stepping stones of the creek or views of the hillside from the restrooms which are east of the lot about 50 yards.

Dana Point Headlands Hiking Loop

MENTOR DAY 

 


 Mary Christi Mentor Day --Saturday, October 10, 9:00am—12:00pm.--- Dana Point Headlands Hiking Loop--overlooking cliffs above Strands Beach. In Dana Point, from PCH, go S towards the beach on Selva Road around the bend to the parking lot by Strands Vista Park overlooking the beach and headlands. Park near the lot entrance, look for the Socalpapa Flag. Restrooms at the N end of the lot. Mary will be available to mentor anyone who needs help.

Huntington Central Park




Friday, October 16, 9:00am. Huntington Central Park, Park Bench Cafe parking lot. Take Goldenwest S from the 22 Fwy or 405 Fwy a few miles, go past Slater and the first lot entrance will be the Park Bench Cafe lot. Paint the Lake from different locations. No Socalpapa flag this week. Restrooms by the Cafe.

Demo Day

 


 Mike Ishikawa pastel demo   Friday, October 23, 10:00am—12:00pm.  Laguna Beach, middle of Heisler Park. From PCH in Laguna, at the Laguna Art Museum Cliff Drive entrance go towards the beach and park at metered parking around the corner near the middle asphalt pathway that leads to the point by the flagpole and veterans monument near the lawn bowling. Restrooms nearby. Mike will be set up somewhere on the path looking S towards Main Beach and the gazebo. Look for the Socalpapa flag and a Socalpapa member to direct you to the setup.

 

Saturday Oct 31st, 9:00am
Huntington Central Park



Saturday, October 31, 9:00am. Niguel Botanical Reserve, Laguna Niguel, 29571 Crown Valley Parkway. Take the 5 Fwy to Crown Valley Pkwy heading south about 2-3 miles. Just past Central Park Drive, go R at the next exit, go past the pool building and park on the left by the restrooms. Go through the playground equipment up the path. Paint along the path up the hill, or the domed cupola, or across the valley in different directions. Lots of tree shaded views along the path.
