The event calendar shows upcoming club events. Select a view then use the navigation buttons to move
between dates. Click on the event to view more information, including the event description, times,
location, fees and any rules regarding attendance; you can also register for events from this screen.

Huntington Beach pier, Northside of the pier, look for the blue Umbrella by Tower 4.
Saturday, April 6, 9:00am. Huntington Beach pier, a short oil demo by Gia Moody. Take Beach Blvd S into Huntington Beach, go R at PCH to the HB pier parking on the Northside of the pier, look for the blue Umbrella by Tower 4. If lot is full try the South side parking lot. Gia will be demonstrating waves and how to achieve movement and realism in the surf. Restrooms nearby. Coffee, food, etc.
Friday, April 12, 8:00am. Laguna Beach Cliff Drive view of the Hotel and PCH. Take the 133 Fwy (Broadway) S into Laguna, go past the light at Forest, make an immediate R around the curve and go up Cliff Drive past the stop sign and go past Rosa Bonheur Dr. Make a U-turn into the metered parking. No Restroom, except for the Main Beach one across PCH a couple blocks away. Paint above PCH towards the Laguna Hotel.
Dana Point Harbor. Take PCH to Dana Point Harbor Drive almost to the West end, go L on Ensenda Pl in
Special Guest Artist Demo oil painting demo by John Cosby for Friday April 12, 3-5 pm.
Location: Dana Point Harbor. Take PCH to Dana Point Harbor Drive almost to the West end, go Left on Ensenda Place into the parking lot. Ample parking either in one of the three lots or on the street. There are also restrooms. John will set up near or on the sand of Baby Beach by the sailing school boats. Bring a chair.
Back Bay Newport Aquatic Center/Kayak launching beach
Saturday, April 20, 9:00am. Back Bay Newport Aquatic Center/Kayak launching beach. Going S of the OC airport, on Irvine Ave, past the Muth Center at University one mile and go L on Santiago. Go about another mile and go L on Galaxy and immediate R on Polaris Dr. Go down hill and go L on Whitecliffs Dr. to the Center parking lot. Paint the bluffs or Kayak activity. Restrooms in the building.

Register by July 6, 2024
All paintings must be framed and wired for hanging. (No sawtooth hangers)
Only one artwork can be entered, frame size not to exceed 24 inches on any one side. Only paintings done in Big Canyon will be accepted. Map will be provided. Paintings must be picked up by July 19, after the artist‘s reception. All artists who enter paintings are invited to the reception.
Sales for the Quick Draw Show will be handled by the NBC with a 35% commission to the NBC. 65% sales to artist. NBC will also collect and pay sales tax and send payments to artists 4 weeks after show ends or with Zelle.

Registration is required for these limited access opportunities to paint the Hortense Miller Gardens in preparation for the upcoming Display Show.
